Who is our speech-language therapist?
Jo has vast experience working as a Speech-Language Therapist. She is highly experienced in communication, swallowing and voice intervention, with special interest in acquired and progressive neurological disorders, aged care and long-standing health issues. As well as therapy, Jo provides education regarding voice care, safe swallowing, and communication. Jo is also working as a Communication Assistant in the care and protection, and justice setting.
Jo is a registered member of the New Zealand Speech Therapy Association (NZSTA).

Jo Tipping
Jo was born and educated in New Zealand. She is an experienced speech-language therapist and communication assistant with whakapapa to Ngāti Kahungunu. Jo worked in the area of human resources and project management prior to retraining in speech language therapy and graduating from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, in 2007 with a BSLT (Hons).
Jo's passion for speech therapy is demonstrated in her care and committment to her clients. Jo has vast experience working with young adults and adults and was previously working in the public sector.
Jo enjoys providing education, training, and therapy about voice use and care, and strategies to assist managing speech, voice, and swallowing concerns.
